Stop Deforestation

  • Report to an adult if you see an endangered species pet
  • Prohibit the ‘clear cutting’ of large areas of forest
  • Plant a new tree
  • Double points for planting a new tree to replace one that was chopped
  • Recycle and re-use products from the rain forest, ie: coffee, bags, lumber, etc.
  • Reuse paper- try cutting up old paper to use as a notepad or recycling paper you have already used
  • Use recycled cloth napkins instead of paper napkins and cloth towels to dry your hands
  • Ask your school to buy environmentally friendly paper
  • Take cloth bags to the grocery store instead of paper bags
  • Buy recycled paper products. Did you know it takes 70% – 90% less energy to make recycled paper? And it prevents the loss of forests worldwide!
  • Start petitions to save endangered species
  • Do a class project about rainforests and the plants and animals that live there
  • Create a skit, write a story or decorate your class to look like a realrainforest
