Stop Animal Neglect and Abandonment
What’s at risk?
Neglect and abandonment are the most common forms of animal abuse. Animal cruelty can be either deliberate abuse or simply the failure to take care of an animal. Either way, whether the animal is a pet, a farm animal, or wildlife, the victim can suffer terribly.
WHAT CAN BE DONE?
There are over 7 million homeless animals in the country in need of shelter and homes. In order to diminish these numbers, it is important to adopt or rescue animals instead of buying them from breeders.
- Educate the neglectful caretaker
- Report abuse to law enforcement
- Encourage pet adoption
- Volunteer at the local animal shelter
- Neuter pets
